            Ensure Intergovernmental Relations (IGR) Manager attendance at weekly peer city coalition meetings in Austin during legislative session which occurs every odd numbered year. Ensure IGR Manager attendance at pre and post legislative session workshops and TML policy committees. Develop and distribute the Legislative Agenda. IGR Manager to attend public hearings throughout the State year-round.

            Ensure 100% of Ambassadors (department liaisons) receive Ambassador training provided once annually by the Intergovernmental Relations (IGR) Office on roles, responsibilities, and communication. Ensure Ambassadors, including the IGR Manager, attend at least two special district/organization meetings per year. Levee Improvement District (LID) Ambassadors must attend all meetings and attend a monthly Ambassador meeting or make arrangements for alternate. Ensure local/regional IGR Agenda is updated quarterly by issue owning departments, collected and prepared by the IGR Office, and submitted three weeks after the quarter ends to the City Manager's Office in alignment with the Quarterly Report.

            Attend, facilitate and prepare Intergovernmental (IG) meeting agendas and summaries for each meeting generally held on the third Tuesday of every month at 4 p.m. Summaries are generally prepared within a week of the meeting.

            By June 30th of every year, Intergovernmental Relations (IGR) will review the Key Utility Charters as well as any recommended changes in strategies with the executive team. Key Utility Charters identifies key issues and strategies regarding regulatory or jurisdiction the City has over private utility entities.

            Oversee and coordinate updates to Key Utility Charters including background information and strategies as well as identify Key Utilities and their Key Issues. Monitor and understand the impact of Key Issues - especially the impact issues may have on City services. Provide departments with information and training on how to utilize and implement strategies found in the Key Utility Charters.
